"Chiji's" restaurant: why does the L look like a J joined to the H?
You know, I just went to a Chili's restaurant the other day, and when I look at the logo, the L is joined with the H; thus, it would appear as if the restaurant's name was "Chiji's" instead of "Chili's." An alternate logo displays the image of a chili pepper with an S next to it, so I know the restaurant's name is "Chili's," but I still don't get why the L is joined with the H, because it looks more like a J. Can anyone explain to me why this is?

Their volcano cakes are delicious! I might go there for my birthday. Trying to decide between it and Red Lobster.

Advertisement tries to make logos look as delicious as possible for food joints. When I look at the logo, I think of a big long jalapeno pepper where the L is conjoined with the H. Yum.
Oh, then maybe that's it... thanks, Rye. (Although they still could've just put a chili pepper as an apostrophe.)
Their food is pretty good. I like their ribs and, of course, their chili.

this is an even bigger scandal than the <a href=http://www.crwflags.com/FOTW/images/k/kr~hanji.gif>Hanjin logo</a>.
Assuming that the dominant consonants of H and J are supposed to represented in that logo... someone can really trip out over where the J is/is not.... or ARE.

Dark and spicy. Chili's has only one of those filled, but good enough.
I see it and I read Chili's. It's hard to see the J when looking at the word itself. :/
