I love chips!
This is my favorite Dip: Herr's Sour Cream & Onion. My grandpa was like the Michael Scott of Herr's near me when I was younger so we always had free stuff in the house. I usually hate Sour Cream & Onion, but their recipe is delicious to me.
As far as the chips go, Deli Style/Kettle Cooked's my fave.

Also, dip is delicious but not a necessity.

Like many others in this thread, I choose to eat my potato chips.
If dipping, I prefer kettle fried style chips as they tend to hold together much better. If they are corn chips, I'll dip them in salsa - mild preferrably but I'll have the others if there's no mild option. If they are kettle fried, I'll use onion dip, providing I have the ingredients. For dipping, I prefer non-flavoured chips (ie, just salted) or salt and vinegar. For non-dipping, I prefer chilli/spicy flavours.
