I'm currently trying for ages trying to get Pikachu in Veridian Forest. I've gotten the other 5% chances like caterpie and metapod so many times it's not even funny...

So far, I've got every pokemon line (ie: I didn't catch metapod, but I have a caterpie) that the game offers, no matter how rare! And for once, I actually have them all leveled to about the same level, instead of going nuts on two pokemon and neglecting the rest!

Just got to Cerulean City since I didn't play last night; my current line up:
WATERSPORT (Wartortle)
BEEDRILL
BUTTERFREE (Kind of redundant since Beedrill is better at the moment - may switch him for a better pokemon soon.)
PIKACHU (My second most powerful pokemon!)
PIDGEY (I think he's about to evolve)
ODDISH
My accomplishment is that they're all pretty evenly leveled in the high teens, instead of me having some super Wartortle and weakling other pokemon. So far, I've not used Wartortle that much, I've been trying to play with status effects more. Between Pikachu's THUNDER WAVE and Pidgey's SAND-ATTACK, most of my battles have been cake.
