What did you think of the Spice Girls?

They're a guilty pleasure of mine to this day. Yes, I actually bought their first album. I listen to it in dark corners with no one around.

I even saw Spice World in the theater. Twice.

So yeah, Spice Girls love/hate thread!!!! Girl power etc.

That Spice Girls movie is great. I had it on VHS. I'd watch it at least 2 times a week. A few times I watched it with my brother who swore he did not like Spice Girls...chyeah...right. The scene with the explosion is just like wut. The military scene is great cuz I love that song. It's probably the worse movie I actually like. I know it's bad, but it's just so good at the same time.

It's funny that when everyone found out Ginger Spice was a slut a year later, people were like, "Oh my God, I can't believe this! I can't believe I let my child look up to that ho!" It's like, really? You didn't know she was slutty? Have you SEEN the way she dressed in posters, music videos, and on stage? Silly parents.

I used to be pretty obsessed with them, I actually have a few of their songs on my Ipod now. My favourite was always Baby Spice! I used to love her hair. :}

I liked some of their songs, and disliked some of their songs. Pretty much like any other pop group out there, really... I was, what, 13 when they were running riot? Yeah, Ginger Spice had boobs and I appreciated that she liked to show that.

I don't reckon Ginger was slutty, she didn't sleep around. She was certainly into doing the odd nude, but so did Venus and all those other roman people.
