I thought nads was short for gonads which is a scientific term refering to both testicles and ovaries.
It is.
Yeah gonads start out as the same mass of undifferentiated tissue and then depending on hormone levels they become testes or ovaries. Testes start out in the same general position as ovaries then descend into the scrotum later.
