    Default NES Strategy Guide Names

Hello all. I had the Nintendo Power strategy guide for this game before I had the game (in fact, that is why I even rented it in the first place) and I vividly remember the warriors being named as such:

    Fighter - BORS
    Bl. Belt - LEE
    Wh. Mage - JED
    Bl. Mage - TOTH

To this day I name black mages Toth, thanks to this, but my real question is what do you think the Thief and Red Mage were named? I am going to go with Ryu and Zeff. I'm not sure why, but that's what I decided Nintendo Power would have named them in 1989.

    Questions? Comments?
We all know that the Thief is the superior Final Fantasy figure. <-----PERIOD

I always named my thief Paco, so I'm going to go with that.

I named my thief Rob because I always go for the bad pun.

I also had this strategy guide for at least a decade and a half before I'd ever played the game. I got it when my mom subscribed to Nintendo Power for me back in the dawn of time and it came with strategy guides for Super Mario Bros. 3, Final Fantasy, and several others. But I'd only played the first Final Fantasy when it came out on the GBA.

The strategy guide is really beautiful (especially for back then) with nice art and sections elaborating on random trivial stuff.
