Chapter 11 is not that linear, a few place yeah, but you have all of (SPOILER)Gran Pulse to explore. I think I should probably level up a bit, since I am (SPOILER)fighting Vanille's Eidolion and getting my ass served to me. :/

The Summoner of Leviathan: Just use Vanille's Jammer job class. The moves of this class are enough to defeat Hecatoncheir.

The Neochu? No, you cannot find it at the moment. It is one of the missions. You get this mission in (SPOILER)Oerba. Also it is very easy to beat this monster if you use Vanille's "Death" spell - normally I would not use magic like this but for the Growth Egg it is okay. But I have fought this monster only in the japanese version yet.

So you have passed the tower?

And no, leave the missions where they are. Try them later. You will see there are missions which are too difficult. Later you need to have almost maximized characters. And for this you have to finish the storyline and get the Crystarium LV 10 so all of your characters can level their 6 jobs to Level 5.

Anyway to have to train. Otherwise the boss of the tower will show you what's power.

I have already mentioned the Jammer (Saboteur) class. Maybe you haven't read my post so it was no help. Anyway you find out easy with just using your analization option.

(SPOILER)I do not fight for platinum ingots while I am too weak for Adamantoises. And actually it is way faster to beat the Sacrifices because although their items are way cheaper you can beat them without greater problems. The only platinum ingots I have obtained by purpose were in my japanese version because my characters are maximized there and there I have almost all equipment items.
