Am I explaining this wrong? My trick isn't about the Behemoth on Wolf-thing. Before those two, there is a save-point. And around that save-point, a lone Behemoth King wanders. It's that one I'm talking about. You can ambush him easily for 4000 CP, and he respawns after you walk out of view (takes about 5 seconds). That's quicker then the Behemoth-on-Wolf, and it's a safer battle.

At my level of power HNNNGRF, they're just as fast as each other. So it's kinda like a volley of death.

You only have to run just beyond the save point. It's not far.

CP is not really a problem I feel. I've been leveling pretty quickly compared to previous chapters and most of the fights have been very easy especially when you pre-empt. Course this inof is great if I plan to star raising levels in the secondary roles for my characters.

My main issue is just getting cash so I can finally upgrade all my weapons and accessories. I really feel XIII dropped the ball in terms of gil/loot and the Equipment Upgrade system. Its partially counter-intuitive and its only saving grace is that its not terribly important for most of the game which is kind of a bad way of making such a system in my book.

I still have a dozen Missions to go through as well cause I haven't unlocked the Chocobos yet so I've still only seen a small part of Gran Pulse so far. I also need to beat down that stupid "Sweeper" robot in the mine shaft on the way to Oerba. He kicked my ass when I first got here but I feel pretty confident I can take him down. I'm hoping I can grind enough to be able to take down at least the smallest of the Adamantoise monsters before leaving for Chapter 12.

I don't want to spoiler but you really should train for this, then. You have to fight one of the weakest Adamantoise monsters in chapter 12. There are more of it but one is not optional.

I'd recommend to just wait until later in chapter 11; if you do everything you can on your way through the story, you'll have plenty of gil to star three weapons a second time. You can make it through chapter 11 with only tier-one starred weapons anyway (and I never bothered with accessories). However, I agree completely that the upgrade system was not very well utilized in the game.

Adamanchelids aren't too tough, so that's probably doable. You sound like you're grinding more than I did, though, and I breezed through the rest of the game. So be wary of that.

I have a feeling I'm over doing it a bit in concern with leveling but I guess I'm just taking in all the freedom. I just got Vanille's summon... what a weak plot twist.

Really, nothing's been going well plotwise for me since Chapter 8 and I'm having a hard time justifying why I should continue moving forward. I started finally going towards Oerba but now I'm a bit hesitant cause I'm concerned that the game's story will sweep me up and then I won't be able to enjoy Pulse again until I beat the game.

In concerns of upgrading equipment, I've been maxing out my parties primary weapons but sadly I lack the transformation items needed to make them tier two (though I have done it with a few accessories) and lord knows I don't think I'm ready to grind for money needed to buy what may or may not be the transformations items featured in the shops.

    I also hate Giant Cactuar...

You don't have to worry about that. The game does exposition and character building very well, but actual plot very poorly.

I've been noticing that. Its sad to watch a premise with such potential get bogged down with bad choices. I almost feel the game should have ended at Chapter 9 cause there is very little left of interest in terms of story seeing as how the writers chose to go the easy way out of the plot.

Been having fun updating weapons, maybe I'll max out all the weapons 1st forms.

    What plot twist?

I have a question about the beginning of chapter 12. Any reason (besides graphics) why the party busts up the race? Why couldn't they land somewhere else?

I was really confused by that FMV. First thing we see is Snow going out of his way to save the guy then first ran off the road, then next thing I see is the party slaughtering the hell out of the rest of them.

It's as if stopping the race is part of their plan.

    1. Go back to Cocoon
    2. Stop the race
    3. Stop the cavalry from killing Orphan

I'm sure it was in the official guide, so it's ok that it makes no sense in game.

Still early chapter 11 as well...kind of been grinding until I remembered that I play WoW too but that's another story.

Anyway. I'm missing a mission! I did 1 through 13 but apparently couldn't find 10 does anyone remember where it is?
