Do you think this is alluding to this line in the Opera? Can anyone who knows japanese see if they used the same line in the Japanese opera with this scene?

I cant find a video for the japanese ending but heres the best i could find for the opera scene

Also a shocking contrast between "My life goes on" and Im going to die now

The song in the GBA version doesnt match though, but the line is still "We must part now" in the ending which i cant be bothered to link

I think the opera matches many of the storys of FFVI. Loosing your loved ones, and loss in general, is a component to every chracters being. Setzer lost Daryl to mystery, Sabin and Edgar lost each other and are reunited. Locke lost his love to death, twice! Celes looses everything, only to litterally take on the world to reclaim it. Terra is lost. Gau lost his father. Gau's father lost his mind. GoGo lost a traditional battle menu, but gained so much in return.

Everybody deals with loss in the game. Different types, different outcomes, and different ways.

Look at him in those caves? He is freaking directionally challenged. That and his fight command.

He also looses the fight to you right off the bat, and must be your yetti slave for the rest of the game.

I'm still wondering whether "Whatever you say, I won't age a day is symbolism or not (probably not, as it's not in the Japanese version - but the USA version could have added it with symbolism in mind.
