What!

I see what you're getting at, but honestly I just find them unnecessary. Especially after the horrible bastardization of The Wicker Man.
I just found Tim's version closer to the book, and just a generally more enjoyable film for reason that will eventually be released in detail. I know some long term fans of the first version will dissagree - I personally didn't like the first version that much (I didn't hate it, I just didn't like it.) My opinion.

I haven't seen either version of The Wicker Man - so I can't comment there. However, I can see how they can be deemed as unnecessary at times - at the end of the day, what I really want to see is a new thing all together, but I have awoken to the fact that remakes can be good.

On that note, hello the new batman movies are infinitely better than many earlier ones xP
I am late I realize, but I am following that rule now, yes. I thought; "I watch some TV show remakes... Some aren't that bad... I've never had a problem with cover songs, and they're technically "remakes"... There are some films I like that are remakes... Wait, why am I always bitching about them!?"

I still have yet to give the new Batman movies ago - infact the only Batman I ever saw was the really old series where it was all "Bang!" "Pow!" etc. I'll check them out one day.

Also, there is a remake out now which I would like to see - even though I enjoyed its originial as a kid (even though this film has been remade several times and the orginal Disney version is technically a remake itself...)
