    Default NCAA men's basketball tournament

Anyone else psyched for this? I was a bit worried, being a Washington Huskies fan, but they tore it up in the Pac-10 tournament to guarantee a spot.

Personally, I think Kentucky and Ohio State are the teams to beat. And that is hard to say, as a Cincinnati Bearcat alum.

Sic 'em Bears. The easiest region overall, I think (South). Neither Nova nor Duke impress me that much.

I agree with that, Baylor has a good setup. Purdue also sucks.

I set up a yahoo bracket group for anyone who wants to join:

    Default nah...

I don't like college basketball and I don't like how the NCAA operates as a governing body.

People here in TN are incensed that UT got a 6 seed.

The SEC is terrible in college basketball so not a surprise that the selection committee only likes KY and FLA due to their history.
Vandy also got in but a seed lower than they probably deserved.

Of course if you get a perfect bracket you can win a million dollars.I probably will try it again like I did last year but there are bound to be upsets so I don't expect to win.

Ohio state over Duke. I know duke hasn't had much success lately in the dance but i like their team D. And for Ohio state Evan Turner is nasty, and will most likely be the #1 over all pick unless I'm wrong and john wall has a ridiculous run.

I only watch this to see Duke lose. An early Duke upset makes the tournament for me.

They have been really bad in the dance the last few years, getting knocked out in the 1st round by Virginia Commonwealth wasn't a good moment, but I think they are more balanced this year. then again i could easily see them getting cold from 3 point range and laying an egg.

You're right, that wasn't a mere good moment -- it was an epic moment. My dad and I were cheering VCU on like crazy (despite having predicted a Duke victory in our brackets).

Naturally I'm pulling for Syracuse seeing as I live about a half hour outside of it. Vermont makes me a little nervous even as a 16 seed, considering they were able to knock us off in the first round in '05. I don't see Kentucky making the Final Four, in my estimation they're in the so-called "bracket of death" this year. West Virginia is ridiculous and I think they can easily outplay Kentucky, but I guess that could be my Big East bias getting the better of me.

I could see them in the final 4 or getting KOed by louisville in the second round.

Kansas has a tougher bracket than Kentucky. But watch out for mighty Washington!

I have Syracuse winning, but I didn't try very hard this year to research which teams are going where. For some reason, I don't feel this is going to be a very big year for 5-12, 6-11, or 7-10 upsets.

I also have Duke going further this year than last year (lol I totally called that upset last year in my family bracket); as far as the final game, actually. I would like to believe that UMD has what it takes to beat Kansas should they meet, but Vasquez is so inconsistent, and he's always running his goddamn mouth off. In any case, smurf Duke. That riot we had was epic lulz.

amazing first day. second day kinda blah. but the round of 32 opened well with St Mary's beating Villanova.

lots of big upsets: three 10 seeds won in the first round, two 11 seeds, one 12 seed, one 13 seed, and one 14 seed. and so far one of those 10 seeds is advancing to the sweet sixteen. hopefully Washington will be following them in a few.

Georgetown losing was highly entertaining, especially considering a fair amount of people apparently had them in the Final Four.
