Who here can actually drive a manual transmission without synchromesh?

What's synchromesh?

It's basically just a part that lets you depress the clutch to change gears then release, before it was harder to switch gears.

Putting power to the rear wheels is a six-speed SynchroRev Match manual transmission, which is the worlds first synchronized downshift rev matching system. The system "blips" the throttle on downshifts and upshifts, matching engine speed to the next chosen gear, smoothing out gear changes. The driver still has to engage the clutch and move the gear lever, but the computer handles the rest.

I saw this in action on Top Gear. It makes downshifting so easy, it's like a video game ('cept there's a clutch). But then, what's the point of driving a manual at all if the car smooths out the downshifts for you?

For those who can't even handle that much, a seven-speed fully automatic transmission is also available with paddle shifters.

On the other hand, paddle shifters are cool because F1 cars have them. xD
