Now that I finally have time to read the rules for this tournament, it seems like almost every effort has been made to squeeze the fun out of it thus far. Well done!

Not that I agree this isn't fun, but since when is being a CK supposed to be fun anyway? If you want to be a CK I think you should have to work for it.
I'd certainly hope being a CK is fun. If not, can't say I understand why anyone would be remotely interested in the position. I get paid to work. If I'm doing work for free, it better be fun. Maybe I'm just crazy.
It's more about becoming a more recognized and respected member of the community.
And banning some of the dumber people, I guess.

It's about the prestige, man.
The feeling of being a Cid's Knight would change from person to person, I'd assume. Some would accept the position for the popularity, some would accept the position for the fun of it, for the experience, a sense of pride, a feeling of empowerment, for the chance of gaining position to easily better the site, or any combination of those reasons not excluding others not listed. Come on, now.
