I think it's one of life's mysteries. That's why SE will never remake this with voice actors. If only we knew how to say that damn word....

According to the Japanese original name バフスク (Bafusuku) it should be pronounced "Bufh-sk".

Should've just stuck with Bafusuku.

FFII's town names are strange at best...Paloom, Poft, Fynn, they have a strange onomatopoeic quality.
