His name says it all, he keeps it inside.
The same reason all fat people are fat: he eats too much and doesn't exercise enough.
A keeper doesn't swim around as much as the rest of the guys.

Okay then, why is Datto so white?Same things as before!
Some people are naturally fat and don't lose weight easily - but that doesn't mean they can't be well trained.
You might think it's because he mostly stays still in the goal, but even goalies need to have a good condition to be able to block shots effectively etc.
Besides, being chubby is quite an advantage when you're a goalie, don't you think?
Maybe Datto came from a different city? Like Bevelle.
Keepa's fat because then he takes up the whole goal, so the Blitzballs bounce safely off him. Still didn't help me from losing every Blitzball match I ever played. :|

Also I noticed Datto and Keepa are both absent from this shot
Perhaps the Besaid Aurochs are quite mean towards their fat and pale teammates?
