Watching Movies/TV Series with Parents

How often have you guys have watched movies/TV Series with your parents or rather do you enjoy watching them with your parents?

For me I never did mind cause in some ways its fun. Yes its equally as enjoyable as watching with friends but somehow I find a smile on my face whenever my mum see's something with great interest and then we relay each other about what we saw.

Its so far and few these days as my parents don't fly in as often as they do on visits...

Still its always fun to have sit down session over the TV or at a Cinema.

My parents don't like much tv I watch. Movies we ted to watch together but it feels awkward if it has some dirty scenes in it. Plus I do like the occasional chick flick but my mom doesn't so I hardly ever get to watch them :/

I used to feel awkward about seeing sex scenes with my parents but not so much anymore. I enjoy watching movies with my family as long as my dad can keep his mouth shut. Although, both mum and dad (moreso mum) always tend to fall asleep during movies. xD It's always a little annoying when the movie ends and you're like, "that was a great movie, I really liked it!" and mum goes: "zzz... uh? yeah... feels like there were some gaps in the story though... zzz..."

But now I'm the one who started to forward scenes or tell my parents that they shouldn't watch so and so because it has a lot 'adult' content in it...

My dad took me to see the South Park movie when it came out! I was fifteen. Awkward.

I like watching TV and movies with my parents just fine. We don't see each other very often lately though. I like to watch Desperate Housewives with my dad and stepmom and teenage sister though.

I went to see Alice in Wonderland with my mom and her "friend" last week.

I love watching really rubbish movies with my Dad. He's terrible at picking movies, and he'll always say "Hey J, look at this movie I got, looks amazing!" then we'll just watch it and rip the hell out of it the whole way through. Always fun.

My mum watches more movies and tv than I ever will... she regularly has my aunts over for "quality family movie time" but I hate watching movies at home so I "make up" for it by going to the movies with her sometimes. We saw shutter island (her choice) last time and enjoyed it lots!

When I lived back home, I used to watch the occasional show with my father. I didn't really enjoy it back then, but he did. My mother always watched movies in bed (after 9 PM), and my dad was drinking beer alone downstairs, so I sometimes watched with him.

Ah well, he paid for everything for 18 years, I owed him that much.

These days it's hard to agree on the same shows. My mom HATES cartoons or anything aimed at children no matter what and loves soaps and lifetime movies, my dad watches house remodeling shows and stuff like Deadliest Catch, and I like anime. My dad and I can agree on American cartoons and non-anime [as] xD

When I was younger we would watch Friends and MASH together and it was the only thing everyone could agree on xD

I don't like to watch anything with my mom because the whole time she's like "I bet this will happen" and "isn't that sad?" and she will proceed to pester me until I respond. It takes away from the joy However, I love watching movies with my dad, because not only does he NOT do that, but he has some good taste in movies

There is list of shows that I am not allowed to watch; Skins, Shameless, The Inbetweeners...

I'm simply "not allowed" as they are "not suitable". (I'm 17 nearly 18). Although apparently, I don't need to watch Skins as my life is like an episode of Skins anyway.

That's awful. You seem cool about it, though. A lot of my friends have parents like that and a couple of them make a huge deal out of going to see a PG-13 movie even though they're the same age as you. Like "smurf YOU DAD I'M GONNA SEE HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE" xD
