Time Loop: A headache!
I still love FF VIII but I wish they thought things through a lil more with the time loop...
As far as I can see it, the world of FF8 has to go through the same cycle over and over again...
Could have there been other ways to break the time loop?
I can't think of any right now but could u guys lend me your thoughts please!!

Time Loop and Time Compression are not the same thing.
No ... When I meant time loop
I meant the fact that (SPOILER) After you defeat Ultimecia, she goes back in time to transfer her powers..Which she then gives it to Edea...Who is told by Future Squall to create SeeDs to guard against Ultimecia....Plus Ultimecia was also hell bent on eliminating the legendary SeeD because of years of Oppression sometime after the story events VIII because the people were fear that same mad woman would appear (which they do by creating the very same one)....That woman happens to be none other than Ultimecia..After years of building her power and hatred she hatched a particular plan
And thus the cycle starts once again...
Nice story but I would really hate to be aware of such a time loop!! X_X

You should talk to Future Esthar, or Serapy.
They'd love you.
Ultimecia is able to send her consciousness back in time to Edea, Rinoa and Adel because of Junction Machine Ellone, an invention created by Dr. Odine after his years of research on Ellone.
So all Squall and co. would have needed to do is tell Odine not to build the machine. Or kill him.
