I don't see how one member complaining for a couple of days would cause him to run away from a position he's held for years. It seems far more likely that, if he hasn't stated anything publicly or reasons in Staff (according to Psy), it was based on internal disagreements. Which makes a lot of sense considering the ridiculous nonsense that has been going on recently.
EDIT: it's also a sad state that further criticism was apparently cut off in the other thread. But I do think Del's resigning was related.

In all fairness you two were just going into this pointless circle of argument. You should know as well as any of us that the Forum Staff are idiots, and most of the time, they just don't defend themselves very well, but that doesn't stop them from acting irrationally.

And don't you dare blame me for this. For every other staff issue Del and I have been on the same team and have basically always agreed. Del isn't the kind of guy who would flounce just because he and I disagree on one thing. It's more likely he's just getting sick of of all the cons of being an administrator (ex: dealing with you) and wants to focus on his family (ie: Miriel and the dogs). I certainly understand how he feels and, having been on staff with him for so long, have seen this as a possibility for a long time.Perhaps he got fed up. It's not too surprising considering the way him and Shlup completely disagreed with each other in my last thread. In which case, more power to Del.

Why am I not surprised at you blissfully ignoring evidence. Psy just said he didn't say anything in Staff before deadminning himself. And the timing, you and him getting pretty heated arguing in my Feedback thread? What about ALL of the huge number of staff resignations? This sure seems more than a simple coincidence.
