Most people think this. Whnenever I've pointed out his other work in other games, people always say they love him.
He does get a lot of flack for X though. As well as the Dissidia cast. Kuja's VA said in an interview that the direction was awful and they were given very little to work with.

And yes, VIII's cast is rather pathetic, I have to agree.
