HELP! Computer virus!

I have a commonly known virus but I can't get rid of it. It's called Vista Defender and it keeps interrupting me and telling me I have about 29 serious infections on my computer. My out of date Norton can't recognise it and I don't know what to do.

Sweet. I downloaded some anti-malware thing which identified the malware but I didn't realise I actually had to buy it to get rid of it. Doing a full system scan now, so hopefully that will work. *Fingers crossed*

It's a mostly harmless virus, you just need to make sure not to buy the paid version. I had the XP version and it was very easy to remove. You should also download AVG for free.
