    ichigo Rainbow Heart Box Pouch

    One of my first projects since I've returned - perfect box pouch! It's very cute. I should have used a another sheet or two of interfacing to make it look more crisp and boxy, but when I put things in it, it's hold shape well anyway.

    The outside is black fabric with rainbow hearts, the zipper is a soft pink, and the inside is a matching soft pink with darker pink polka dots. The pink doesn't show up well in the photos, but it's cute.

    Put some brown thread and some dental floss in it! Whatever you want!

    It was much easier than it looks; it took about 3 hours in total, but that was because I made a dumb mistake and it took 20 minutes to take out the mistake-stitches; it'd probably take a lot less than 3 hours if I did it again.

    I made this using the very helpful perfect box tutorial.

    Next up: Couch Cushion I'm making for my mom's birthday~

    Jessica, this is a good rainbow heart box pouch you have made.

    The thread title is possibly the best I have ever seen. So many Freudian connotations were swirling through my head I didn't know what to expect! Turns out it's a real cutie, although it would probably look out of place in my gun metal grey record bag. O_O

    Still, some nice stitching you got going there.

    So cute! You could use it as a handy little make up bag, or is it too small?

    Thanks a lot, guys!

    I could use it for make-up, definitely! I already have a big make-up bag I sewed up, but I might keep a few small things of make-up in it. That, or I'm going to put my hand sewing supplies in it. I've been doing a decorative whipstitch around the cushion I'm making for Mama Tortellini's birthday on and off, and I've been keeping my supplies in it on hand for when I feel like doing it.

    I made another smaller one - I ordered a few squares of Japanese Matryoshka fabric online and they were just too small to make one of the same size. It's still pretty cute though. I love the red and white, and I'm ecstatic because this bag has the best top-stitching I've ever done. The red stitches near the zipper look professionally straight - I've never been able to be that precise before.

    I don't have a weird name for this one;
