Default FF 7 - PC - black screen/crashes at startup

    just installed final fantasy 7

i have a problem, when i launch the game and start new game, it was just black screen all throughout, it did not crash though, i could still ctrl+q quit.

I reinstalled it BUT NOW i have a bigger problem, it crashes just as soon i launch the game (ff7 has stopped working)

(i have windows 7 and all said codecs)
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz

if you require any other information, id be glad to comply
thank you so much, i have nothing else planned to play but FF7 hehe

You need 1.02 FF7.exe and then go to Qhimm.com forum and look up Aali's Driver. PC version is now completely stable.

    Here:

    Custom graphics driver for FF7/FF8

That driver fixes all known issues with game and allows it to be run in high resolution and in window mode. All mods are there including my own (soon to be released retranslation)
