I like the art style, I guess it's worth a shot.

I think out of sake of being "realistic" . . . Dragon Quest does it, and so did a pen-and-paper RPG I once did for a couple sessions. Or it might be that having unlimited amounts of spots is too "easy" or something. I prefer the unrealistic and "easy" unlimited inventories myself.

I hope it doesn't make the game too annoying. I HAD been very excited about this game until I read that.

Actually there's never been a Final Fantasy game like this, Each warrior can only carry 15 items with them, which includes equipped gear and spells which is blows any Mage badly. Also, You may choose to cast "Cure" but you can't select it on your partner because it has an AI-controlled so spells doesn't always work out as you'd hope. It is
designed to appeal to DQ9 fans not FF fans.

I wish they made FFV remake

Here comes the salvation for the XIII haters.

The game will be released under the title Final Fantasy: the 4 Heroes of Light.
    Is that your final answer?

Graphic-wise, the games looks absolutely great, but the game seem to have so many unnecessary issues. A game should never feel like a chore to complete.

This game takes the franchise back to its roots. The developers planned this game to be "a classic RPG created with modern technology."

What an incredibly beautiful looking DS game. It's a shame that game play reviews have been negative though. I'll still get it for how nice it looks.

That review made it sound like it had the very essence of an old-school RPG which is exactly what they were going for. I haven't played it but to me it sounds like he's just too modernized to enjoy it.

If it's oldschool in the sense that DQ is oldschool, then I will enjoy it. If it is oldschool in the sense that text rpgs are old school, then I will not. It's beautiful to look at so it already has that going for it.

Typical Square though; pushing the limits of the system (in this case the DS). The DS is so hard to develop for, so I'm really impressed.

The review made it sound very Dragon Warrior Onesque, with limited inventory space, a torch needed to explore caves and a general walk around and figure things out yourself instead of being spoon fed where to go and then what to do once you get there.

DQ1 eh? That pretty damn old school. DQ3 old school would have been better, but with graphics like that I'll at least give it a try.

This game, in my opinion, is an attempt to appeal to younger players than other games in the franchise.
