What is "kipping"?

Basically, it's using momentum to help you do your reps. Like you swing your legs and then pull up for it to be easier. It's cheating, any rep that uses kipping doesn't count.Originally Posted by Skyblade

Ok, just did 4 pull-ups, which puts me one ahead, as I had 15 in the bank at one point.
Ok, I've started doing this. Tbh, it does feel slightly more tiring. Or maybe my muscles are tired from yesterday's pull-ups.Lol, you're supposed to cross your legs at the ankle and bend your knees to prevent this and to prevent kipping.
Oh and I've got a confession to make. I'm going back to Uni tomorrow and there isn't a pull-up bar in my Uni room. I'll try and go to the gym and keep up with the demands, but if I do fall behind I'll definitely make up for it when I come back for the summer holidays after my exams.
Pull ups done so far: 31
Depends on the balance of your physique. For a heavy person, often pullups are just way too hard. For me though I find it's roughly 3 pushups to 1 pullup.So what's the conversion between pushups and pullups?
