Default Did team NORA survive? (endgame spoilers within)

Did they? Cause i don't think it's ever mentioned they did die...
If they are alive, i hope (if theres is a new DLC coming) it will be about them, Better than the orginal party, imo. Apart from them two brats.
But i'd love to with play lebreu and gadot again

Default There is no DLC coming...

Toriyama and Kitase have said in interviews there won't be any.

Nothing so far about a PAL or International Version with additional material either.
I doubt there will be anything.Toriyama and Kitase seem to feel the game is perfect as is..if you read the interviews.

Looks like they went the way of Bannon.

I just assumed they survived and met up with Snow after the end. Was I the only one who thought the ending cinematic was just pathetic? I mean, it just kind of... stops. Well, what happened to NORA? Hope's dad? The rest of the Cocoon fal'Cie? How long before humanity was wiped out by roving bands of giant turtles? Oh, no time for that, Final Fantasy games CAN'T have good endings! Ever!

Endings aren't suppose to spoon feed you what happened to every character.

No, but they should give some sense of closure. Which Final Fantasy endings have been getting steadily worse at.

Were there ever many FF's that gave good closure to the stories at the end? I mean, aside from VIII, I've not seen one, but I haven't seen the endings of every other game either.

I thought most gave pretty good closure. I don't need to see how every character gets a happy new life after saving the world, an ending just needs to wrap the story up. Especially FFX did a good job at that if you ask me (and then they just had to go and milk it). Way better than FF8 anyway.

The ending of FFXIII is, like previously said, just pathetic. It's like they didn't even try to make it end good, as if the devs just said to each other "okay so this is the worst storyline full with plotholes we've made in a while, let's not waste any more effort on the ending either. Let's stop trying to come up with something and just fill it up with some eyecandy. It's not like they'll notice before it's too late, lol.".

FFVII will always be the worst ending for me. "And then it was over. And all we're going to show you of the aftermath is a very quick snapshot of one of the characters 500 years later. What happens to the others? Well, that is the question! Maybe you'll find out years later in a DVD release movie." XIII's ending had buttloads of closure by comparison.

But then, VII and XIII are amongst my favourite FF's, so it just goes to show that the ending doesn't mean a huge amount to me.

What does it matter what happens to them? FF7 was about saving the planet from meteor, which happened after the party kicked Sephiroth's ass. I thought the part 500 years later was a nice touch until S-E just had to go and milk it.

FFXIII may show what happens to the party, but it doesn't explain why all that stuff happened which is the worst kind of ending. Except to the sentimental fans of course.

Despite my earlier complaining, I felt the open-endedness of VII really worked, as it let you decide whether or not Holy had wiped out humanity.

FFX had no closure for anyone but Yuna, really. Wonder what Kimahri or Wakka or Lulu were up to after defeati-BUY THE SEQUEL!!

FFIX actually had a decent ending as far as closure, even if it was a bit generic in a "and eeeeverything worked out for everyone the end" kinda way

I'm not sure if they died or not. We can only hope though, right?

I thought 12 had a relatively decent ending, even if it did serve as more of a segue into RW.

And FFXIII was all about (SPOILER)saving Cocoon from destruction which happened right after they kicked Orphan's ass. See what I did thar?

The ending after the final fight was fairly straightforward. (SPOILER)Vanille and Fang turned into Ragnarok, stopped Cocoon from being destroyed, and turned to Crystal because they completed their focus. As to why they completed their focus, see Cid turning to Crystal. In lots of ways, FFXIII's ending is similar to FFVII's. (SPOILER)Holy caught meteor, Fang and Vanille caught Cocoon.
