I don't think there is anything uncannily similar between FFVIII and FFXIII. I also think most of your "similarities" are lacking any kind of backing up. I guess this is just a thread for your FFVIII hobbie, though, and so long as this is the only thread for it then there's no real harm in leaving it open.
