Enemies would imply a hatred or dislike between the two parties. Rivals may have that same dislike but doesn't require it, instead it implies to people working to outdo each other at the same topic.
Got it. Thank you, for explaining it, I always wondered.
I say enemies are working against each others goals, Rivals are competing but towards the same general goal
Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
Team Rocket is my enemy, and Gary Oak is my rival.
Boy am I an unfunny ass.
Not really. Enemies are people you don't like. Rivals can be people you're friends with, but are still competing for a common goal.
Well an enemy is someone you hate and want to die (gosh that sounds harsh!). With an enemy, there is no love loss between you and them. It's that simple. But with a rival, it's never black and white, you could either like or dislike them, but you never wish them ill or hold any particular malice towards them. You always wanna one up your rival in whatever the two of you compete over. A rivalry is more fun and light-hearted whereas an enemy is somebody you just plain dislike and want to beat because you don't like them.
When we dance, it looks just like Fire.
When we sing, it sounds the same tone.
Rivals survive encounters with you.
Then how can you call it a rival? Then it's merely a small enemy annoying you.
I don't get into encounters my rivals until I am capable of thoroughly destroying them. Then I thoroughly destroy them and never see them ever again.![]()
An enemy is someone who is always they person you are against until a solution is found. A rival is some one in your way to a goal.
