    Default Mission Help

Thought I would make a thread for people to offer help and support to anyone struggling with missions.

I myself have had some trouble with two Raktavija's. If anyone has any tips i'd apreciate it. Ive finished 90% of missions, my crystarium is maxed out and i have 3 weapons maxed out.

BTW if anyone is using the official guide, and are having trouble wondering where the last B Rank mission went, that's because the guide seems to think it's a grade C mission.

I was going to post about help on the Neochu, but I beat that jerk today. I was very proud - none of the battles postgame have given me quite as much challenge as he, and it gets harder apparently. Once I get to the 2 Raktivija's and hopefully pass, I'll throw out some help for ya!
    yes, i'm a FFXIII fan.

I took the esay route with Neochu and spammed death, got lucky and finished him in under a minute.

For the Raktivija's ive read stacking on multiple items to build your magic resistance by up to 50% is the way to go so i might give that a shot today

I would say the best thing to do is first max out your cyrstarium whilst upgrading your weapons. Once you have done that, work towards defeating mission 64 so you can use the Gold Watch to get more time. As for guides, I welcome anyone to contribute in the Site Content forum (a subforum of this one) where there is a Missions thread with various guides listed.

For the Raktavija's here's how I fived-stared them (complete crystarium, two tier 3 weapons, Hope had maxed tier 2 hawkeye):

I used Lightning, Hope and Fang and started the fight with a SynSynCom Paradigm to buff my party. For healing purposes, I used RavMedSen and whenever there was a tough attack coming up, I used SenSenSen, which cuts the damage a lot, even if you're only using the paradigm for 2 seconds. I used SabSabSab to Imperil one and when I had high enough HP, I used RavRavCom against him. If not, I just stayed in RavMedSen.
Once the first one was staggered, I quickly used Army of One and then switched to ComRavCom (don't forget SenSenSen for blocking stronger attacks, cause you don't want to have to heal). When the Raktavija dispelled my party (should happen very soon), I switched to SabSabSab and debuffed him. Switched back to ComRavCom afterwards and killed him before stagger wore off.
Now it's way easier. Since I usually take a lot of damage during the all-out-phase, I switch back to RavMedSen. Once the damage was cured, I rebuffed the most important buffs, like Haste, and then went on with RavRavCom to stagger him. Kept using SenSenSen to block and SabSabSab to debuff (though only Imperil is of use while Raktavija is not staggered)
I got ~6 minutes on this fight, the target time was about 12 minutes. I had the Gold Watch, by the way, and to make up for Hope's HP, I equipped him 1 or 2 magic resistance accessoires.

I just beat them but didn't see your post until just now. I got four stars so if i come back with the gold watch and a bit of tightening up on my performance i should manage a 5 star rank. I stacked Witches bracelets on my whole party so everyone had 58% magic resistance, so not much healing and no messing around with 3 sentinals, just pure offense.
