I tried that last night. I just threw a dude onto the back of my horse as a train passed by so I decided, after it was out of sight mind you, to lay him down and wait for another one. I was sitting there for 15 minutes before another one came along, and by that time I was shooting birds to amuse myself. I hear the whistle and look down... and the dude is gone!
