The patch has apparently fixed the Mo Van Barr thing but I'm too into Modnation Racers to try it out now. Good to know when I get back into this though.
To be honest I hate the fact that a level up system was even included in the multiplayer. I wouldn't mind so much if it just unlocked extra avatars or whatever but the fact that you need to level up for better weapons/mounts to get just adds a pointless grind to an online with a lot of potential, if I wanted to grind mindlessly for hours before having "real fun" I'd play an mmo and even then there'd probably be more than 15 other people on it to keep things interesting as well as a more diverse world. Something about clearing out the same two bandit hideouts until level 50 doesn't appeal to me.

You can collect every weapon except for the buffalo rifle at level 1, and you don't lose weapons unless you quit. The only annoying mounts are the first two; the turkmen at level 8 is fast enough to keep up with the average player. Plus you can auto-travel/steal your geek friends’ mounts if it comes to it. I have had real fun in this multiplayer since level 1, but I guess I am easily amused.
yay at expert free roams though

Yeah but they're gone once you leave the free roam, it's not great. I wanted to enjoy RDR's multiplayer but because of this I haven't been able to, oh well.

I have to admit I'm loving this game more and more as I play more of it. I feel the affinity for it that you don't get in GTA IV though is it me or is it far easier than GTA IV?

Cougars are smurfing horrible. I was roaming around Great Plains looking for stuffs and I went to get back on my horse. Everytime I got back on my horse a cougar would come out of no where and kill it and then tried to kill me before I shot it. So then I would whistle for a new horse, but as I got back on it ANOTHER friggin' cougar came out of no where and did the same thing. This happened for at least four more times before I eventually got killed by a cougar.

You were near a cougar spawn point I guess, you need to run away from the area on foot sometimes to get a horse without dying. That or mug a passerby for theirs or jump in their wagon/cart and ride that to a safe point. I've had this with wolves where I ended up with 30+ wolf pelts before I eventually made my way out on foot.

I actually thought the cougar thing was very funny. They're better foes than bears. Bears are so slow and I'm pretty sure they're much faster irl. By the time a bear even gets ten feet away from it it's already dead, or in most instances I manage to out run it -- even on foot.
I also tried out free roam today for like 10 minutes before I was like eff this noise. As soon as I got in the game I got killed by someone named Venom1247. -_- I also saw someone named Omecle playing. Oh?!
EDIT: This song was so pretty to slow ride to when you first get into Mexico. It was great to just take in the canyon environments while listening to it. I don't even really usually like music like this, but it was great. I also find myself humming Riders on the Storm while in the Texas setting.
EDIT2: If there is one thing I will say is that no other gaming company aside from Konami, Square, and Bioware are as beastly at storytelling than Rockstar. I thought I would never say that any Rockstar game would be as good as Vice City, but Red Dead Redemption has proven to be the best one yet (imo). I am so glad they bought the rights from Capcom. :shiny:
And happy to report only 50 percent of the game was riding on a horse through a desert thanks to carriages and campsites. And Irish is the best character. <3

So I haven't played recently. Got sidetracked with other stuff.
I come back and suddenly instead of vivid red blood when I shoot stuff and viscous red blood splattering on the screen when I skin...
I get pink/purple blood when I shoot stuff and brown/orange blood splattering on my screen.
WTF gives?

Television problems it seems, or you could just be playing it on the wrong format. I noticed that while I was playing Assassin's Creed, I had incorrectly set it to play a interlaced mode that was incompatible with my television. And so, instead of getting olive skin tones I got Shrek and drab green.

It's just odd because it's the exact same TV and I've changed none of the settings. It's certainly a stark change. My wife noticed it almost exactly the same time I did. The colors changed drastically.
What's weird is that one went lighter... sort of a neon pink/purple while the other went darker... the orange/brown. Before both were bright red.
However, blood spilled on the ground is still quite vibrantly red. It's only the blood of skinning or the blood spraying from freshly shot birds that's noticeable.
I can't imagine it's always been that way and I'd never noticed.
