I friggin' love M.I.A.. She's definitely one of my favourite artists - not sure how "hip hop" her music is, though.
    M.I.A. - Boyz
    M.I.A. - Amazon
    M.I.A. - Galang
    M.I.A. - Bird Flu

If you like grime, Lucy Love is good imo.
Lucy Love - Daddy Was A DJ
    Lucy Love - No V.I.P.

    Others are:

    Beastie Boys - Intergalactic

Saul Williams - List of Demands

    Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop

    The Fugees - Fu-gee-la

The Roots - The Seed (2.0)

    Missy Elliott - The Rain

There is a lot of great rap and hip hop music out there.

    Mos Def - Brown Sugar
Pharoahe Monch - Welcome to the Terrordome
Drake - Fall for Your Type

I will just stop there for now. I definitely second The Fugees, The Roots, Nujabes, and I would second Dilated Peoples but I only like one of their songs and everyone knows that one.

YouTube - Crooklyn Dodgers 95 - Return of the Crooklyn Dodgers
YouTube - Nujabes - Highs 2 Lows (feat. Cise Starr Form CYNE)
YouTube - Blackalicious - Make You Feel That Way
YouTube - Nomak - Geishas In The Days Feat.Pismo (Shin Ski Remix)
YouTube - Onepeace - Nomak ft. Aaron Phiri
    YouTube - Zion I - Bird's Eye View
YouTube - Funky DL - Don't Even Try It
YouTube - Pharoahe Monch-Welcome to the Terror Dome [Video]
    YouTube - Specifics- My Tunes
    YouTube - Afu-Ra - Whirlwind Thru Cities
    YouTube - Wu Tang-Triumph
YouTube - Wu-Tang Clan - Protect Ya Neck

Return of the Crooklyn Dodgers, Blackalicious and Pharoahe Monch are the tracks that probably have the best lyrics, if that's what mogi is interested in. Though, Triumph has the best opening lyric of any rap song ever. But yeah. Welcome to the Terror Dome is a sick track actually, that and Crooklyn Dodgers are the only two I was forced to listen to completely when searching for the videos.

It does surprise me that hip-hop, good hip-hop is quite well known among the EoFF community. I didn't expect some of these artists and songs to get named. I find that UK hip-hop really annoying though and wouldn't consider it when selecting hip-hop must knows/haves.
Creativity is certainly about not being constrained by rules or accepting the restrictions that society places on us. Of course the more people break the rules, the more likely they are to be perceived as ‘mentally ill’

When we dance, it looks just like Fire.

When we sing, it sounds the same tone.

Good suggestions so far. I will do my best to check them all out.
That song will always be one of my favorites.

There is quite few rap artists I listen to nowadays. Common is the best out there at the moment IMO. Here is some well known suggestions from him:

    Common - The Light
    Common - Faithful
Common feat. Lily Allen - Drivin' Me Wild
Common feat. Lauryn Hill - Retrospect for Life

Some others from the top of my head (old stuff included).
Geto Boyz - My Mind Playin' Tricks On Me Star Wars Vid xD
    DMX - Slippin'
House of Pain - I'm A Swing It
Ozomatli feat. Jurassic 5 - Cut Chemist Suite
    Xzibit - Paparazzi

And for something a little different:
Plan B - Stay Too Long (PENDULUM REMIX)

    Str8 Pimpin'

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, we'll get right to listening :3

Nujabes has been on the list for awhile now. Samurai Champloo was so neat I told myself I just had to listen to his other work!

I've listed my 2 most favourite artists, they are basically what I listen to 90% of the time. Sorted by album in track order, because they paint pictures that way, it's really interesting to see how themes/ideas develop over an album and sometime are extended on the next album.

The Chamillionaire songs listed here are basically the songs that inspired my high scholl art folio of 12 pieces, really changed how I looked at life.

If you don't want to listen to them all, I reccommend that you listen to:
    Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory
Chamillionaire - Void in my Life
    UGK - One Day

    Chamillionaire - Sound of Revenge:

YouTube - Chamillionaire The Sound Of Revenge Intro
YouTube - Chamillionaire...Void In My Life
YouTube - Chamillionaire - Outro - The Sound of Revenge

    Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory

YouTube - The Morning News - ULTIMATE VICTORY - NEW CHAMILLIONAIRE - C
YouTube - chamillionaire - standing ovation - Ultimate Victory
YouTube - Chamillionaire-Won't let you down
    YouTube - Chamillionaire - I Think I Love You
YouTube - Chamillionaire ft. Devin The Dude - Rocky Road
YouTube - CHAMILLIONAIRE - ULTIMATE VICTORY

UGK - Ridin' Dirty (classic album)

YouTube - UGK - One Day
    YouTube - UGK - Diamonds & Wood
YouTube - UGK - Hi Life

    Cheers!

"This the outro, I was gonna put it at the beginning
But this is what I say the moment after I'm winning
    Thank you, Ultimate Victory"
