It's probably better that you did it in reverse since Claire/Henry from the books are so different than in the movies. The author was pretty disappointed with the casting job.
The movie was the usual romance fluff, and the books are much more... I dunno. Real? It was amazing to me that a relationship with so much fantastical elements could be more realistic than a lot of the fluff that's out there. And that a romance book could handle time travel in a way that made sense and didn't break any rules (ie: going back and changing things, that's not possible!) was amazing as well.
The only slightly "eh" part of the books would be the ending, which was kinda cheesy. But after how heartsick I felt by the end of it, I needed that last bit to keep from being super depressed.
