England making their customary patchy start, but that's nothing new from them. They need better finishing.

You know how Maradona was the nuts coach pre-World Cup. It would appear he's swapped that mantle with Capello.

a) Gerrard & Lampard cannot play together as the 2 central midfielders in a 4-4-2. They couldn't in World Cup 06, they couldn't in Euro 08, and they sure as hell can't do it now.

b) Most experienced goalkeeper - James
Goalkeeper in form - Hart
Goalkeeper in goal - Green?????????

c) Wright-Phillips and Lennon have pace, but not the end product. Milner is an honest player, but as was seen at Aston Villa this season, he plays better in the midfield. The best wide player England have is Joe Cole. But he didn't start.

d) When one of the wide players was substituted, the best English wide player was not subbed on in their place.

e) Carragher had an average season for Liverpool. Dawson had an amazing season for Tottenham. Therefore, when you substitute your central defender, maybe put on Michael Dawson. That could've ended up just as nasty as Green.

That game could've gone anyway. A draw is probably a fair result. But England don't want to be in a knock-out game where it could have gone anyway. Serious work required.

I thought it was amusing right after the england goal they were panning over howard and you could hear him yelling "GET THEM OUT OF THE BOX!" Just funny he was yelling so loud you could hear it.
