Wow. That was a real mentality problem of Germany there. Played maybe a little better than Serbia even with 10 men down until that missed penalty and then everything went down the crapper. Now we have to worry about the next game. Germany seemed to feel victimised in the game which was a very unhealthy attitude.

Klose getting sent off was a strange sight. A bit unfair, but its not what lost them the game.

Of course they do. But American sports aren't three plays away from being scoreless. When only a half a dozen plays matter over the course of the game, blowing one means so much more, and with zero accountability for that official, and no method of reprieve, it's significantly worse. Basketball, football, baseball, and hockey all have replay to at least help to mitigate official screwups. Instead, that official is allowed to disallow a goal without even giving a reason why.
