supposedly you can tweak with the physics of sackboy himself so you could make it like more of a traditional platformer. If the product turns out anything like they say it is, you'll be able to make a Metroidvania style game.
I'm in the same boat. I didn't pick up the first game because of the jumping physics. (that and I didn't like Sackboy)

Oh man I should punch some of y'all in the teeth for not telling me how good that trailer was. There was some amazing customization in that trailer. My hype for this game has increase triple fold from that trailer. How such an amazingly, well crafted, intelligently, beautifully made trailer!

My eyes fill with the liquid of felicity that thrives to be unchained and let loose to all of the world's people.

The jumping is probably my sole criticism of the first LBP. My girlfriend can't get her head around the way in which Sackboy leaps so she always dies and uses up all our lives in levels with complicated jumps.

I searched around if anyone made a new thread about LBP2, but couldn't find any so I figured I'd just bring back the earlier one.

The game's out, I just got it yesterday and I must say MediaMolecule really tried to get some diversity in what was the gameplay of LBP1. Love the sackbots and cakeinator. That said, I'm a little confused about the actually creating of games other than platformers. I'm not that far into the story, but even though the trailers show side-scrolling shooters and racing games and such I haven't seen any of that yet. I hope they'll show up soon.

Other than that the game is really polished in every single way. Hang around in the same area as one of the story characters and they'll start saying funny things about them or the environment. Little details like these get you smiling quite often. Outfits are more ridiculous than ever. Rewards and items are literally everywhere and it definitely takes several runs to find everything. Sometimes a sticker-switch (LBP players know what I'm talking about) at the start turns the whole level upside down by giving different power-ups or making alterations in the environment, so sometimes going through the same level is actually a whole different experience.

Haven't checked out any of the UGC yet, but I'll get to that a.s.a. I finish the story.

So, good times, anyone up for an EoFF Co-op Sack Adventure? Let me know!

Money troubles for the last several months have kept me from getting this game, but now that things are turning around I'm hoping to get it by the end of March at the latest.

I find this game is more entertaining when you play in a group, and none of my freinds have the game

Sorry for the late reply. I forgot about this thread. I'll try my best to remember, but I think one major thing for me was that I wanted some of the logic to be easier to make, a larger thermometer to work with, and to be able to upload music from my PS3 into the levels, since i had to go through hell just trying to get a little bit into mine. I won't be getting this game anytime soon because of two reasons.

    1. I don't have the net for this game.
    2. Even if I had the net I would be afraid that I would get too into it. I spent nights up into 4am working on my own games and I had to get up at 4:30 to get ready for school.

I can imagine the time consumage when trying to build an awesome level. I have some experience with LBP1 editor, but the possibilities in 2 seem completely insane! Just exploring the options will probably take ages, let alone combining all those different elements.

Has anyone tried Ace-ing any of the Cosmos levels yet? Tough stuff!
