The new mascots for the 2012 Olympics

By the way, these one-eyed freaks are called Mandeville and Wenlock. I don't know if that's of any significance to Londonites, but the Sydney Olympic mascots were called Syd, Olly and Millie after Sydney, Olympics and Millenium, which made sense.

Their names are the only good thing about them. They're actually named after British towns which had their own games (eg the Wenlock Games) that inspired the modern Olympics.

I'm glad there's a reason for the names, because I think they're terrible names on their own. They sound like evil Disney characters.

I like the mascot design, though, personally. *shrug* I think they're neat.
