Altogether tangential, but they don't have Pokemon on my home planet.

I generally take the water starter, except in Gen 3 because Blaziken is clearly awesome.
But I'm a bit of a bug pokémon freak, so grass is straight out and I usually train a different fire type (especially in Gen 5, oh how I love thee Volcarona!).

Away from my own game collection I experimented somewhat my housemates' collection (which mostly consists of the most triple A of AAA's).
Went through the CoD Black Ops campaign. (SPOILER)Think it's the weakest CoD campaign I've played so far. Highlights were the Sympathy for the Devil part and the gas suit part, but the rest was pretty generic. Confusion is the word that sums up the story.
Gave Assassins Creed 2 a try. (SPOILER)And by the lords does Ubisoft try hard to reach a broad audience. Slow paced as smurf, holding hands like a creepy uncle, and so much useless, disgusting, meaningless dialogue. I refuse to play this any further.
Started a Gears of War 2 co-op campaign with my housemate. (SPOILER)Lol at the character design, so much brawn. The reloading mini-game is fun. I somewhat enjoy this co-op massacre, though I know it won't be in my memory for long.
But man do I miss Dark Souls. Hopefully I can go back to Hotline Miami soon for my fix of more challenging game design.
I just finished my like 3rd-4th play through of Fallout:new vegas might do another
Playing some League of Legends now and then. And sadly I went back to WoW and got roped into heroic raiding by my former guild mates. I also played through the Hitman game and thinking of doing the Metal Gear Solid games.
Skype: sanae.sniper (cause making new friends is awesome :P )
Saints Row The Third, which is hilarious and wonderful. But I also started Spec Ops: The Line while the fiancee is out of the town. It is intense. The gunplay is really well done and the story is compelling, but it's not exactly what I'd call fun. It's like Silent Hill with no supernatural macguffins, just the horrors of war.
It's not particularly dense with its commentary, but I think the whole experience would be lost on someone who doesn't analyze their games critically. I'm happy I'm playing it, despite what will obviously be a short campaign (but it doesn't really need to be long).
played through Ocarina of Time over the weekend.
played through Pokemon Snap today, all 63 Pokemon photographed. may go back and try to get all "special" pictures (e.g. Surfing Pikachu, etc) but probably not. fun game but Goldeen was a bitch to photograph
started another playthrough of Paper Mario tonight. I'm clearly on an N64 kick.
Still playing GT4, but also popped in my copy of Formula 1 Championship Edition last night. It's better than I remember it being actually. Then again, last time I played it I sucked and I got placed as a test driver instead of an actual race driver in the career mode. That never sat well with me.
Back to my old love, Football Manager 2012.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
You know, I used to wonder how you could love Football Manager so much. Then I realized that if they would make them, I'd play the trout out of Baseball Manager, or Formula One Manager. Guess I should stop throwing stones.

Yeah, I'm not a soccer fan either which is why I never really got it at first, and never really bothered to try before, but once I made the connection with sports I do enjoy, I suddenly realized that I want to play it. I really, really want to play it. I just don't want it to be about managing soccer.
Playing Dragons Crown.
It is bitchin. That is all.
