They start off firm, but once you start chewing the consistency is just really off-putting. There's really not much that's comparable to it as far as consistency goes. It makes sense to me that someone wouldn't like bananas both for the texture and the taste. I like crisp fruits like pears and firm peaches. Strawberries aren't crisp, but they an amazing texture, it's just luscious. And watermelon is crisp in a brittle sort of way too. Bananas are the opposite of that.

Bananas are good. I pretty much always have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a banana for breakfast.
