Completely agree. I expect this game to do decent based on a wave of nostalgia, but I wouldn't dare think it will be close to good. Hell, unless I'm dicking around doing Slap fights or Knife fights with friends the original games does not hold up at all for me.
Anyhoo, I only looked some at Sony's presentaion and read the highlights, and I feel like Bolivar did for Nintendo's. Everyone is saying the GT5 release date is a massive bomb to drop or something, but my first thought was "Finally". I've never been big in GT so it's not a big deal to me, I just remember this game being announced/talked about for quite some time now (wasn't there a robust paid demo a few years back?) Twisted Metal was cool, but I haven't played those games in so long it would take some bugging to get me to try it again. Never played the Sly Cooper games, so the collection would be good if I didn't have so many new games to play. LBP2 makes me happy, as long as they really tighten up the dang controls. Other than that, I was just kinda meh. I can admit that a ton of people find these things to be massive though, and if so many do Sony's doing something right, so kudos to them.
Also, why does someone have to "win" E3? I guess because since we play games a lot we just have that mindset, plus we wanna see justify our purchase more?
