I don't know if it would, those guys always seem to find a way. SE has been good about taking care of the RMT issue in FFXI so I'd assume they'd use the knowledge they gained to make FFXIV as RMT-unfriendly as possible.

I really do hope Square are on the mark with it. Unlike NCSoft with Aion - my god, what a nightmare! I think that single handedly cut out about half of the initial subscriptions.
Open beta for Aion was fine, but once it turned to retail you would have about 50 kinnah sellers spamming every chat channel and also whispers to everyone on the server. You could pretty much not read the any chat at all it was that bad! And it took NCSoft a month to fix it, a month.
Man RMT are such rat bags, they can all go diaf for all I care. I hope Square have some good measurements in place to stop them.

bummer really wanted to see this run on my TV downstairs in FULL HD!* Final Fantasy XIV will support multiple displays on PC
* PS3 version locked at 720p. PC can run up to 1080p
really hope they scrap that 3D idea though.
on a lighter note, ive seen Oblivion run on multiple screens and it looks marvelous hope ffxiv can look that great...even though i dont have a capable pc for doing this... just saying im happy for those lucky bastards that do! *keeps on smilin*
What does RMT stand for? Real Money Transfer or something? *dunno*

The controls on the PS3 seem like they'll be pretty effective.
