Bunny, you have my vote for CK.
...
The revelations will possibly start around 2-3pm tomorrow BST (ie UK time), depending on a few things.
1. Speeches
2. Tie-breaking
3. How long it takes me to type up all the posts (I already have the nominations tally ready, but the actual winner posts can't be done until I know the winners (obviously).
4. How long I have to be away to have lunch with BoB, smitten and smitten's mum while the latter is in town.
Excel and CONCATENATION() will help a lot with #3, but it's still a mighty amount of work.
If all else fails, though, I of course have all day Sunday. If it comes to Sunday, I'll start around midday BST (4am PST) and aim to have it finished up within 10 hours as BoB needs to get some sleep before his first day back at work (he's had the week off).
I'd prefer to do it Saturday, though, if possible. We can only wait and see!
You do mums now? On double dates?
I shall write my final speeches pronto in that case! *salutes*
I am laughing so hard at Shlup's desperation. It is truly a glorious sight. I think I enjoy her desperate, private pleas for votes more than I will my inevitable victory.
Do it Sunday. I'm going to the Renaissance Festival tomorrow and I'd rather not have to wade through a bunch of garbage posts just to get to the few good ones.I'd prefer to do it Saturday, though, if possible. We can only wait and see!
If anyone else has desperate PMs (or by other means) from Shlup begging for votes, please forward them to me. It will be for a good cause, I assure you. And by "good," I mean "funny."

Regular voting closes in half an hour.
EDIT: REGULAR VOTING HAS CLOSED. If you have NOT voted and wish to be involved in tie-breaking, let me know - alternatively, I may contact you...
Tie-breaking is done in a manner that ensures that nobody knows the winner purely by voting - I arrange for roughly 3-5 members to vote only on tied awards and see if the ties are broken once all votes are counted. If not, I find more members. At no point do I have it set so that only one voter decides who goes through - I always get votes from at least three members to ensure they don't know if their vote is the winning one. And they won't know who is tied, either: Just the awards which are tied.
It can if they vote for the non-tied members. I don't let them know who is tied... I want it to be a fair winner. I can say that one member has actually won a Ciddie despite being behind at the time regular voting was closed. They were a vote or two behind and ended up winning through tie-breakers. xD It's possible it will happen again today, actually. You never know! Some of these awards are very close.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
Ooooo the excitement of the results.....![]()
