I don't know too much about various good covers, but I really enjoy the Wakey! Wakey! cover of Neutral Milk Hotel's "Two Headed Boy". And Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah".

I love when covers are better than the original. Also, Kid Cudi is the only person that can write a catchy song that promotes drunk driving and get away with it.

I think Kamiki Aya's cover of Pierrot is better than the original.

Jesse Lacey of Brand New also played a pretty good cover of 'Two Headed Boy'.

    Mine would have to be:

Guided By Voices 'Gleemer' covered by Ben Gibbard.
Postal Service 'We Will Become Silhouettes' covered by The Shins
Don Henley 'Boys of Summer' covered by The Ataris
Currently playing: FFII (PSOne) & FFXIII (PS3) whilst his girlfriend fumbles through FFIV

'The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed...'

i enjoy those off the top of my head, also this: YouTube - Taj Mahal Johnny Too Bad - The Harder They Come Video & I particularly just liked how they did that video to a montage from the harder they come. etc. fionn regan also did a powerfully awesome cover of woody guthrie's 'slipknot' when i saw him live a couple of years ago, but i don't think that's ever been recorded, sadly
