Well that's just a western thing! We have that here too.

Lol, we don't have chavs though.
England is that place that's over there that some people I know came from!
And the United States is so not a land of honey. We're like, a land of burnt toast. We wanted to just burn the top of the toast to improve the texture, but man we toasted it too long and now it all looks like crap!
Annoying turns of phrase that are lost on me.
Boy am I an unfunny ass.
Rase, what does that even mean?!
England is an island. Its flag is the Union Jack. It should have been called the English Empire if you ask me!
I agree with Rye in that the further south you go the ruder it becomes. I bumped into someone in London and it nearly degenerated into a full on fist fight. Or maybe I just bumped into the wrong guy on the wrong day.
Actually that isn't true. In 1908 parliament declared that the Union Jack should be known as the national flag.
I found this quote on a website:
"It is often stated that the Union Flag should only be described as the Union Jack when flown in the bows of a warship, but this is a relatively recent idea. From early in its life the Admiralty itself frequently referred to the flag as the Union Jack, whatever its use, and in 1902 an Admiralty Circular announced that Their Lordships had decided that either name could be used officially. Such use was given parliamentary approval in 1908 when it was stated that "the Union Jack should be regarded as the National flag"."
Well I'll continue to believe to the BBC and the mighty Stephen Fry. The term 'jack' is 100% a maritime expression as it is flown from the jackstaff
Honestly, as a Canadian I think that England contained some of our ancestors and that your (our) queen is just a relic from past. Basically right now you mailed us your lawn ornament and she's on display in our country for some reason.
A great deal of Canada agrees with me on that last point (that the Queen is pointless).
I also refer you to Cz and my discussions (although how much of it was in jest I don't know) about the Royal Family.
I live in England and whilst i call it e the majority of the time i guess theres far worse places i could be right now.
We have some lovely looking places around here, English food is awesome lol We dont all have bad teeth thank you very much, thats a really stereotype i think.
We have some fantastic comedy shows, over here and i find our tv to be infinately better than the American tv programme quality and picture quality too.
When I was in New York last year i found the quality of the TV to be shocking, looed like it was all filmed 10 years ago!!
I do love England though, always will do, its my home
