    ZOMG! Help....

    I'm currently in chapter.8
    Where should I be Crystalis-wize?
What items should I have, and I don't know what to upgrade or which weapon for that matter....

    Good smurfing game!

    But FF7 still reigns supreme.
Creativity is certainly about not being constrained by rules or accepting the restrictions that society places on us. Of course the more people break the rules, the more likely they are to be perceived as ‘mentally ill’

I'm not sure when it happens, so I'll warn you now just in case! Eventually you'll be able to teach every character every role. My advice is to wait until you're up against the final boss to spend any CP on those extra roles. And only if you reaaally need those buffs. You'll see when they open up that it's very very very expensive, costing you 30,000 CP to do what only cost you 1000 for another character back in chapter 6! If you reach the top of the Crystarium just hang onto that CP until it opens up more. The roles go up to level 5 I think!

Usually I was either at the top or a couple of spots away whenever the Crystarium opened up more, and the game was just about at the right difficulty. Challenging, but not "bleh, I have to go back and grind more I guess." That is until around Chapter 9 or 10, where you will hit a brick wall and everything will be 10x harder. So don't feel like you messed up big time early on if you're having trouble at that point!

As for items, just keep about ten or so Phoenix downs on you and everything is cool. Shrouds make everything easier, but you can do just fine without them. After Chapter 12 you can buy them (though they are expensive). You really don't need anything more than Phoenix Downs! In fact, as challenging as this game got, I didn't really use them all that much!

Upgrading weapons isn't really important. In my file, Lightning had a maxed out weapon and Fang had a level 1 weapon and they were doing about the same amount of damage. But if there's a weapon you like and you want to upgrade it, go crazy! Should you decide to do so, it's good to use organic stuff like hides and fangs to make your experience bonus go up to 3, then go crazy with your Perfect Conductors and the like. The game will take into account that you have upgraded weapons and make it a little trickier for you to get five star ratings. So keep that in mind!

    Good luck n.n

Generally, upgrade the primary rolls of your characters first. Commando for Lightning and Fang, Ravanger for everyone else, then branch out to their other rolls, depending on how often you use them. I use Relentless Assault for my primary Paradigm.

Secondary rolls don't provide as much and cost more, so save them till later unless your primary party needs to fill a gap. I trained Fang to be a pretty decent Synergist. Doesn't get me elemental buffs, but she delivers on Haste, which is the only one I need on a regular basis. Ofcourse, in chapter 8, that may not even be a concern yet.

I was generally butting against the crystaliarum cap at every upgrade as a guide.

I, too, found myself maxing out all nodes available on the Crystarium at the end of every chapter allowing for a few quick upgrades upon the start of the next chapter. I was able to do this until the Crystarium expanded to include every role, because, as Jessweeee♪ mentioned, the CP costs become very high.

Heck, I still ended up maxing out the Crystarium before I completed Chapter 11, primary and secondary roles. Had 999,999 CP for everyone by the time I earned the final level.
