Chocobo Racer

The game begins with main characters Joe and Teioh on top of the world. They're the fastest chocobo racing team in the world - winning races across all classes, long and short course. Suddenly, it all takes a turn for the worse as some rookie a big sword and spiky hair rises from the unknown with his golden inbred chocobo. As his life of fame and fortune disappears from his very eyes, Joe becomes an alcoholic and his beloved Ester leaves him. Just as he hits rock bottom, he realises that there's one person who has never left his side. Yes, Teioh lifts Joe out of his rut and the two begin a harsh training regime to rise back to the top. Cue Rocky montage.

The game's final battle begins when Joe accuses Cloud of inhumane treatment of his Chocobos and challenges him a final race, the winner of which will be crowned World Champion...

I would actually really like a game where you are a normal shinra infantryman and you build yourself up to be a SOLDIER first class. It could have a mission system, kinda like Arc the Lad: End of Darkness, except better.

I think Reno, Tseng or Cissnei (shut up about Before Crisis) would make good main characters. But then we already have Vincent, who used to be a Turk...

But I also agree with the Red XIII enthusiasts. And DEFINITELY Sephiroth. Maybe not a retelling of VII from his side, but a prequel showing how he got where he is.

Fort Condor based RTS game.

When I first played FF7 I had no idea the RTS genre even existed. I had a separate save file just before the final Fort Condor fight so I could go back and play it whenever I wanted.

Hojo adventure. You run around (or perhaps just walk) sickin your genetic pokeymans on whatever enemy comes your way while you quest to find new research samples, stealin Jenovas and whatnot. At the end of the day kick up your feet and enjoy a sunset and an ice cold beer on the beach...in your lab coat.
