In all sincerity, you should probably move to Canada or Eastern United States. Canada is known around the world for its very kind and tolerant people, and crime there is good.

If you want to go to the United States, you should probably go to New England or something. Boston has a very large Irish population if you want to fit in more as well as a great music scene, but places like Vermont have very little crime (plus it's absolutely beautiful). Plus you get away from some of the uberconervatives that populate the more southern states.

And Irishmen are adored in America. You will have no problem getting a girl. Many Americans have Irish ancestry and the Irish are very well-liked in America for the most part.
