So, I was singing in the car today, and I thought, "God, I sound terrible. But I'm-a gonna keep singing." Because it was cheering me up.

Is anyone here a good singer? Has anyone ever sung on stage or anything? And does anyone else like to sing regardless of whether they are good or not, like me, in the car or in the shower?

I'm assuming we have some singers here.

I was going to 'out' Rye as a good singer but didn't feel right doing it. However it makes sense now that she said she was classically trained!

I was in chorus from about ages 10-16 - we performed quite a bit. I really enjoy singing, but since I've not practiced properly in a long time, my voice has gone to hell.

I do sing in the car and the shower, though.

I once recorded some floating vocals and hardcore screams for a friend when I was in college (he was a session guitarist and had an entire smurfing music studio in his basement his parents were like mega rich and he could earn a crap ton just teaching guitar) I'm not sure how good my melodic voice is but I sing anyhow and don't care what people think I often end up singing in my head along to my mp3 player, this sometimes ends up making me sit there either singing softly or mouthing along to it. I always tap out the drum beat with my fingers too. Karaoke is awesome fun and generally get me slightly drunk and I'm always up for singing something. Get me smashed and I'll even make up my own words when I can't quite remember/read the words on the screen!

I did a duet of Bohemian Rhapsody on a work karaoke night with another guy, we'd downed like 10 doubles before hand. Was messy but hillarious!

Once when I was very, very drunk I got made to sing Puff The Magic Dragon for karaoke. I couldn't read the teleprompter my vision was so messed up. I don't believe I even know the words sober and so I made it all up, thank god it was very late night and no little kids were about. I won the contest I think for the ingenuity and hillarity of my impromptu lyrics xD
