The biggest issue is that if you've played a few DQ games, this will be really easy. For all the options they give you, they needed to up the difficulty.

Though I guess if you've never played one before, this game might offer some challange.

I have played several DQ games. Is it really that easy? I was thinking of getting it, but if it's that easy... eesh.

It's not as hard as some of the other ones, no, but it's no cakewalk. I did get my ass handed to me by a boss (but it was an optional boss I probably wasn't supposed to fight yet). I had a lot of gold too.

The main story is designed to be playable by anyone. The harder stuff comes in the missions and treasure maps, mostly after you beat the story.
