Boco Rye's Crafts & Craft Blog Thread

It's gotten to the point where I'm doing too many different kind of crafts, so I'm gonna just keep it ALL in one thread to spare you guys. XD

Here are the new things I've made in the past few weeks:

(The last two items, the pincushions, were my first two sales on Etsy!)

You can see all this and more on my Etsy!

As for my blog, here it is. Monda made my gorgeous banner. I will be updating it later tonight.

I'm really proud of all the hard work you do, babe ;o You're getting to be so GOOD at this! Be pleased with yourself.

And everyone should check out her Etsy and buy something I can guarantee first-hand that she makes quality stuff! I love the pencil case she made for me, it's so pretty.

Yes! My camera case and zipper pouch are wonderful, and they're among the first of the Rye-creations.

The pin cushions came out so cuuuuuute!

So I've been kind of busy and slacking on the actual crafting - I've been working more on my Etsy shop and blog and advertising. But here is a new pincushion!

Wow, thank you so much, guys!

@ Chloe - I never expected it, but everyone LOVES that pencil case the best. I'm going to retake some photos of it tomorrow to get them brighter.

I made a new craft today out of the really gorgeous Kyoto fabric I bought in Kiteya SOHO when I went shopping in Manhattan yesterday. Details about can be seen in my latest blog entry!

I love your crafty goodness! You wouldn't know how to sew with leather would you?

Ever thought of making doggie toys? =D

Some craft stores and pet stores sell packs of squeakers to put inside handmade plushies. Dogs love 'em.

Thanks! I've not tried leather yet, but it's sewn the same as cotton, just with a special needle and thicker thread. Gonna try it!

I want to try pet toys! I'm planning on signing up for a craft fair and I want a few things besides pouches to make to kind of diversify. Plushies, dog toys, it can all work!

I'm actually drawing up a pattern for a fat round owl plushie. That would be perfect for a small squeaky toy inside, as well as some animal safe hypoallergenic poly-fill. As people who have doggies, what kind of material would be best? I was think a sort of furry soft material, or maybe fleece, like the material I use for my sleep masks.

My dogs like the ones that have a bit of texture to them rather than something super smooth or soft. I think they like something that they can bite into and get a good grip on.

Any chance you can make a cute patterned fabric doggie leash? Someone at the SF renegade craft fair was selling stuff like that, but at $70 a pop, I couldn't justify it. Love my dogs, but not THAT much!
