I figured there would already be a thread about this most awesome of games... but I guess it went necro or never existed. So, LET'S DISCUSS PORTAL!!!

You can talk about Half-Life too if you want, same continuity.

Portal 2 looks like it's going to a billion times harder, which is by no means a bad thing. I think the biggest let down of Portal is the end boss fight. It's way too easy and not didn't even feel like a 'battle' really. Nevertheless, it's still one of my favourite games.

I love Portal. If Portal 2 is going to be harder, I just hope it's not hard as in that level with all of the androids on the platforms above the acid. That was just....ugh. I noclip that part of level whenever I replay the game. Knocking them off their platforms is good fun, but it took me like an hour to finally get the portal into that little space >:I

The difficulty of the final boss fight lies in trying to hear as much of her dialogue as you can before you kill her. If you spend too long listening to her awesome lines, you'll run out of time and die. If you kill her too quickly, you miss some golden dialogue. How close can you come to hearing all of her lines while still winning?
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

Yeah. Like the best quote ever, which you can easily miss if you aren't paying attention:

"That was the fluid catalytic cracker. It made shoes for orphans. Nice job breaking it, hero."

This is the fourth thread for Portal in this forum.

Which is good! Portal should be brought up on a regular basis for it is awesome. I <3 Portal super hard.

Just reading this thread makes me want to play it five more times.

Wow, Shlup. That proves that you are a good manager of time.

It's nighttime where I am now, which means no Portal for me. My cursedly vivid imagination squicks me out if I play Portal at night. Hell, sometimes if I'm playing it in the daytime.

The entirety of the previousy mentioned sequence:

"Deploying surprise in 5, 4—time out for a second. That wasn't supposed to happen. Do you see that thing that fell out of me? What is that? It's not the surprise; I've never seen it before. Never mind, it's a mystery I'll solve later...by myself. Because you'll be dead."
"Maybe you should marry that thing since you love it so much. Do you want to marry it? WELL I WON'T LET YOU! How does that feel?"
"Come on, leave it alone. LEAVE. IT. ALONE."
"It's probably some sort of raw sewage container. Go ahead and rub your face all over it."
"I'll tell you what that thing isn't: it isn't yours. So leave it alone."
"You are kidding me. Did you just stuff that Aperture Science Thing-We-Don't-Know-What-It-Does into an Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator? That has got to be the dumbest thing I—whoa, whoa, whoaaa, WHOAAAAA..."
"That thing you burned up isn't important to me, it's the fluid catalytic cracking unit. It made shoes for orphans. Nice Job Breaking It Hero."

Love the game, love getting the Achievements. They don't make Achievements like they used to. Beating levels without moving your feet however many times? Brilliant!

Knocking 33 cameras off the wall.

I gave up on this one for a while when, after GLaDOS made her mandatory 'vital equipment destroyed' remark, the damn defunct camera whispered to me in a mini-GLaDOS voice, "You're not a good person, you know that, right?" Scared the hell out of me.

Actually, you got that wrong. After "You are kidding me. Did you just stuff that Aperture Science Thing-We-Don't-Know-What-It-Does into an Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator? That has got to be the dumbest thing I—whoa, whoa, whoaaa, WHOAAAAA...", the next line is:

"Good news. I found out what that thing you just incinerated did. It was a morality core they installed into me after I flooded the Enrichment Center with a deadly neurotoxin, to make me stop flooding the Enrichment Center with a deadly neurotoxin. Now get comfortable, while I warm up the neurotoxin emitters."

The line about the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit comes later.
